About Project

The 565 Pearl St. project is a complete PDF to BIM conversion project undertaken by Chudasama Outsourcing of a commercial building in the USA, California. It covers an area of 73,350 ft of built-up area. It was aimed at converting old 2D PDF drawings to an accurate, coordinated architectural BIM model in Revit 2025.

The model assists in coordination of designs, future amendments and documentation that is construction ready. The job was done by three BIM professionals who had only 7 days to make sure that there was a high level of accuracy and client compliance.

Challenge

The project had a number of obstacles. The given PDF drawings were of poor detail and uneven quality and size. There are certain architectural elements which were not very clear and needed to be interpreted. It was essential to ensure that there is consistency in floor plans, elevations and sections and that dimensions are maintained. Strict timetable meant effective coordination but not the quality of the models.
