About Project

Chudasama Outsourcing has recently finished a major architectural BIM modeling project in a residential project in California in the US. The client had an amazing 20,000 square feet that needed an accurate and thorough transformation of the current PDF architectural drawings into an elaborate Revit model. This project brought the need of accuracy and efficiency whereby all elements of the design should be accurately reflected in the new BIM environment.

Challenges

The challenge was the difficulty in the correct interpretation of complicated 2D PDF plans and their conversion into a complete parametric 3D Revit model. This is usually done through resolving discrepancies or ambiguities that exist in 2D documentation and requires attention to detail to stay within design intent and prevent mistakes. The time limit of only 10 working days was also a stressor, which necessitated a very coordinated and efficient working process.
